You are the Practice - Closing the Circle
Hi everyone,
This week marks the final blog in the MyPeacein50 series: “You Are the Practice – Closing the Circle.”
When I began this journey, I thought I was writing primarily about peace, nervous systems, grounding, boundaries, and daily practice. But over time, the series slowly widened into something larger — questions about leadership, systems, humanity, urgency, belonging, and what it means to remain connected to ourselves in a complex world.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned this year is that peace is not a destination or achievement.
It is practice.
Not perfection.
Not performance.
Not finally getting everything right.
Practice.
And perhaps most importantly, I’ve realized that the practices themselves were never the destination. They were preparation for how we show up in our relationships, our work, our leadership, our communities, and our lives.
In this final reflection, I also share a little bit about what comes next as this space evolves into Peace as Practice and my writing increasingly explores leadership in complex systems, belonging, safety, trust, agency, and the emotional conditions people need to function well together.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has reflected, practiced, and explored alongside me this year.
With gratitude,
Lisa
